Two Arrested After Lane Cove Ram Raid, Sydney Chase

Two teenagers have been arrested following an investigation into a ram raid in Lane Cove this morning.

Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command were called to the business on Longueville Road about 3.50am (Wednesday 5 February 2025), and found a vehicle had been used to smash the front of the store with cigarettes and cash taken.

A crime scene was established and investigations commenced.

A description of the vehicle – believed to be stolen from a home at Emu Plains overnight – was circulated to police and, about 5.45am, officers attached to North West Metropolitan Region's Operations Support Group saw it on Water Street, St Marys.

A pursuit was initiated when the driver failed to stop as directed.

The pursuit continued to Werrington where the vehicle was allegedly driven into a police car before the alleged driver, a 15-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl, were arrested at the scene

They have been taken to Penrith Police Station where inquiries are continuing.
