Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man and a woman and seized a large quantity of drugs following a warrant in Preston on Thursday.
Officers attended an address on High Street, Preston on 27 February to execute a drugs warrant with an arrested 45-year-old man.
Once at the address, a 40-year-old woman was taken into custody and a search of the property commenced.
It is alleged police located a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine, a commercial quantity of 1-4 butanediol, a traffickable quantity of cocaine and cash.
The 45-year-old has been charged with home invasion, recklessly cause injury, common law assault along with trafficking and other charges.
He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 28 February.
The 40-year-old woman was released pending further enquires.
