Two men have been charged after two vehicles were set alight and homes were vandalised in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs last month.
Detectives attached to Strike Force Pearl investigating after two cars were set alight on Military Road at Dover Heights in the early hours of 17 January 2025, yesterday arrested and charged a man with accessory before the fact to damaging property by means of fire or explosion.
The 37-year-old man, and a 33-year-old man, have also been charged with accessory before the fact to damaging property in company, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity after five vehicles and two houses were vandalised with offensive graffiti on Saturday 11 January 2025 on Henry Street, Queens Park.
It was about 4am on 17 January 2025, that police will allege two vehicles were set alight at Dover Heights and a further two vehicles and two homes were sprayed with offensive graffiti.
Initial inquiries into both incidents were conducted by detectives attached to Eastern Suburbs PAC before they were tasked to Strike Force Pearl investigators.
Following investigations, detectives yesterday (Wednesday 19 February 2025), arrested the men at a correctional facility; they were taken to Riverstone Police Station where they were charged.
The men have been remanded in custody to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 3 April 2025.
