Two Charged After Sydney Olympic Park Brawl

Two more people have been charged following a brawl at a stadium in Sydney's west over the weekend.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command commenced investigations following reports two people were assaulted during a brawl after a football game at a stadium on Edwin Flack Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, at 8.15pm on Sunday (6 April 2025).

Members of the public and security intervened and those involved left the scene shortly after.

Police were told a 21-year-old woman was knocked unconscious while a man, also aged 21, was assaulted while trying to protect the woman. They were assisted at the scene by staff until the woman was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment for facial injuries and to undergo further testing; the man did not require hospital treatment.

Following investigations, on Wednesday (9 April 2025), two women – aged 35 and 37 – attended Auburn Police Station where they were arrested and charged with affray.

They remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, yesterday (Thursday 10 April 2025), a 21-year-old man attended St George Police Station where he was arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s).

He was granted conditional bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 6 May 2025.

On the same day, a 38-year-old woman attended Auburn Police Station where she was arrested and charged with common assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of other(s).

She was granted conditional bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Thursday 17 April 2025.

Inquiries are continuing.
