Two Charged After VIPER Seizes Cash, Cocaine, MDMA

Detectives from the VIPER Taskforce have charged two men and seized cocaine, MDMA, ecstasy and cash as part of a six-month investigation into drug trafficking in Melbourne.

Two warrants were executed on Tuesday (17 December) at residential addresses in Hawthorn East and Dingley Village.

A 27-year-old Hawthorn East man was charged with trafficking and possessing cocaine, ecstasy and MDMA and possessing diazepam.

He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 6 March.

A 36-year-old Dingley Village man was charged with trafficking cocaine, dealing with the proceeds of crime and possessing diazepam.

He was bailed to appear at Moorabbin Magistrates' Court on 17 April.

Investigators seized a quantity of cocaine in rock form, numerous pre-packaged snaplock bags of cocaine, a quantity of MDMA and a quantity of ecstasy tablets from the Hawthorn East address.

A significant quantity of cash and a quantity of cocaine in rock form as well as pre-prepared snaplock bags of cocaine were located at the Dingley Village address.

The investigation remains ongoing.
