Two men have been charged as investigations continue into a large brawl in Sydney's CBD earlier this month.
About 10.50pm on Saturday 8 February 2025, officers from the Police Transport Command – supported by police from other commands – responded to reports of a fight involving 20 to 30 people in Central Railway Station near the Elizabeth Street entrance.
Police were informed the people assaulted each other and a number of flares were set off.
The group dispersed prior to police arrival and no injuries were reported.
Officers attached to Police Transport Command North Central commenced an investigation under Strike Force Moonul.
Following inquiries, strike force officers executed search warrants at homes in Greystanes, Thirlmere and Chatswood about 6.50am today (Monday 17 February 2025).
Two men, both aged 23, were arrested and taken to Granville and Narellan Police Stations.
They were both charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court. The Thirlmere man will appear on Tuesday 4 March 2025 and the Greystanes man on Tuesday 25 March 2025.
As inquiries continue, investigators have released CCTV images of people who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
The first man (Person A) is described as being of Caucasian appearance, short, and of average build. He is depicted wearing black Adidas-brand shorts with white stripes down the side and a logo, black shoes, a black T-shirt, and a black Adidas-brand bumbag with white logo on the front. He also has a half sleeve-tattoo on right and left bicep areas.
The second man (Person B) is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of thin build with short hair. He is depicted wearing black Adidas-brand shoes with white stripes, blue jeans, and a black T-shirt with white text on the front. He has a tattoo on the right bicep area.
The third man (Person C) is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, of large build, with short brown hair and a mullet. He is depicted wearing a black jumper, grey shirt and shorts.
The fourth man (Person D) is described as being of Caucasian appearance and of large build. He is depicted wearing a black T-shirt, green shorts, white shoes, black hat with a The North Face-brand logo, and was carrying a bumbag with white writing on the front.
The five man (Person E) is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of thin build with short black hair. He is depicted wearing black trackpants, a black jumper, grey shoes and was wearing a black bandana over his face.
The sixth man (Person F) is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of average height and medium build. He is depicted wearing a navy blue puffer jacket, black pants, sunglasses on the back of his head and black Nike-brand shoes with white soles and shoe laces.
The seventh man (Person G) is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance and of short, large build. He is depicted wearing a black jumper with white text on the front, black pants and all black shoes.
The eighth man (Person H) is described as being of Caucasian appearance and of thin build. He is depicted wearing a black hooded jumper, black shorts, and black and grey New Balance-brand shoes.
