Two Charged in Latrobe, Spreyton Business Burglaries

A 44-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been charged with several offences following a series of business burglaries in Latrobe and Spreyton.

Several businesses on Mersey Main Road and Gilbert Street were broken into in the early hours of Sunday morning, with cash and property stolen.

Detectives from Western Criminal Investigation Branch identified two suspects and undertook searches on Monday.

The man and the youth were both taken into custody without incident, and the stolen property and cash was recovered by investigators.

The man has been charged with burglary x5, attempted burglary, stealing x4 and drug related offences.

The youth was charged with common assault x2, burglary x5, attempted burglary x1, stealing x5 and family violence offences.
