Two men have been charged with selling illicit drugs on the North West Coast following searches in the Devonport area yesterday.
Members of Taskforce Scelus and Western Drug and Firearm Services seized quantities of cocaine, MDMA, ketamine, speed, cannabis, prescription medication and stolen property during the searches on Thursday 23 January.
A 20 year old man and a 21 year old man – both from Devonport - were arrested as a result of the searches, and have been charged with selling a controlled drug and other drug-related offences.
Both men were bailed to appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court on 10 June.
Detective Inspector Michelle Elmer said Tasmania Police remained committed to removing illegal and dangerous drugs from the community.
"We know the harmful effect that illicit drugs have on our community and anyone who distributes these drugs will be targeted," she said.
Anyone with information about illicit substances in the community should contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000 or online at crimestopperstas.com.au
