Two injured after serious crash, NSW

Police are appealing for information following a serious crash in the Riverina region of NSW today, NSW Police say.

About 5.45am (Monday 2 July 2018), emergency services were called to Corowa Road, near the Federation Way, Daysdale after reports a car had rolled and caught alight.

The driver, a 24-year-old man, and his passenger a 23-year-old woman, were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for multiple injuries.

The driver was airlifted to Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition, his passenger was also airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Officers from Murray River Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police would also like speak to anyone who may be able to assist police with inquiries to contact Albury Police or Crime Stoppers.
