Police are investigating following a two vehicle collision in Sydney’s south west, NSW Police say.
About 4pm today, emergency services were called to Heathcote Road, Lucas Heights, following reports a Citroen C2 and a Ford Falcon had collided.
The driver of the Citroen, a 24-year-old woman, was trapped in the vehicle for a short time before being freed by Fire& Rescue NSW.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
NSW Ambulance Paramedics also treated the driver of the Ford Falcon, a 31-year-old woman and her two passengers, a 5-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy at the scene for minor injuries.
All three were taken to Liverpool Hospital; the children were later transferred to Westmead Children’s Hospital.
Officers attached to Sutherland Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.
