Two men arrested after drugs located in vehicle by THWP in Tahmoor

Two men were arrested, and one was subsequently charged after police located drugs in a vehicle at Tahmoor yesterday, NSW Police say.

Shortly before 5pm yesterday, officers attached to Camden Traffic and Highway Patrol were conducting stationary RBT on Remembrance Drive when they stopped a motor vehicle.

The officers spoke to the two male occupants of the vehicle and after detecting a smell of cannabis the car was searched.

The officers located cannabis in a small container and in five resealable bags. Weights, scales, resealable plastic sachets, prescription drugs and an Ice pipe were also seized.

A quantity of cash and a modified metal pipe with 30 triangular blades welded around it were also found in the vehicle.

Both men were conveyed to Narellan Police Station.

The driver of the car was charged with possessing a prohibited drug, supplying a prohibited drug and being in possession of an offensive implement.

The 27-year-old man was granted bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday 29 August 2017.

The 22-year-old man was released pending further inquiries.
