Two Men Charged At Coonamble

Two men – one wanted on outstanding warrants – will appear in court tomorrow after being charged in the state's mid west.

About 7.00am today (Monday 27 May 2024), officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District attended a house in Castlereagh Street, Coonamble, to conduct a firearm prohibition compliance check.

While lawfully on the premises, police arrested the occupants, a 24-year-old man and a 37-year-old man, wanted on outstanding warrants. They were both taken to Coonamble Police Station.

The younger man was charged with aggravated steal from dwelling, be carried in a conveyance, domestic violence intimidation, possess knife in a public place and possess prohibited drug.

The older man's outstanding warrants were executed, and he was charged with property offences.

Both were refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 27 May 2024).
