Two men charged following pursuit, NSW

Two men have been charged following a police pursuit in Sydney’s south west, NSW Police say.

About 1.40pm yesterday (Thursday 5 April 2018), police will allege a silver Volkswagen Golf sedan crashed into a police car in Bluett Drive, Smeaton Grange. The police vehicle car suffered minor damage.

A police pursuit was initiated but terminated due to safety reasons.

The car was later recovered in Shiel Place, St Andrews.

Officers from Camden Police Area Command commenced an investigation and arrested two men at a unit in Bluett Drive, Smeaton Grange.

The two men, aged 31 and 29, were taken to Narellan Police Station.

A 31-year-old man was charged with take and drive conveyance and breach of bail. He was refused bail and is due to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (Friday 6 April 2018).

A 29-year-old man was charged with possess counterfeit currency and refused bail. He is due to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today.
