Two Men Charged With Affray After Bankstown Brawl

Two men have been charged following a brawl in Bankstown over the weekend.

About 12pm on Saturday (24 August 2024), police were called to a park on Stacey Street, Bankstown, following reports of a brawl at a junior rugby league game.

Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command attended and were told several people were involved in an altercation but left the scene before police arrival.

Police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, two men – aged 39 and 38 – were arrested at Bankstown Police Station today (Thursday 29 August 2024).

Both men were charged with affray and were granted conditional bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Thursday 26 September 2024.
