Two Men Nabbed by NSW Police Following Campbelltown Break-In

Two men have been charged after detectives commenced an investigation into an aggravated break and enter in Sydney's south west.

About 3.40pm on Thursday 28 December 2023, emergency services were called to a home on Chamberlain Street, Campbelltown, following reports of a home invasion.

Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command arrived and were told two men armed with machetes forced their way into a home before threatening the residents, taking personal items, and fleeing the scene.

Detectives from Campbelltown City Police Area Command commenced an investigation under Strike Force Pidgeon.

Following extensive inquiries and a public appeal for information, detectives arrested a 21-year-old man in Campbelltown about 7am, and a 23-year-old man in Appin about 7.30am today (Thursday 11 April 2024).

Both men were taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

The 21-year-old man was charged with aggravated enter dwelling with intent – armed, and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.

The 23-year-old was charged with aggravated enter dwelling with intent – armed.

Both men have been refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court tomorrow (Friday 12 April 2024).
