Two men in their late teens have been rescued after an incident at Goftons Beach, Bridport this afternoon.
Police and other emergency services, including Surf Life Saving Tasmania, were called to the scene about 4.05pm after reports that two men were experiencing difficulty in the water.
The two men were retrieved from the water by Surf Life Saving Tasmania members and were treated by paramedics at the scene.
We are again reminding anyone spending time at the beach and in waterways to swim between the flags at patrolled beaches, pay attention to safety signs, supervise children closely around water, be aware of your surroundings and always check the weather and water conditions before heading out.
