Homicide Squad detectives have charged two more people today as part of their investigation into the death of a man in Kurunjang last year.
A 21-year-old man of no fixed place of address and a 17-year-old boy from the Melton area were arrested this afternoon and interviewed by police.
Both have subsequently been charged with murder.
The 21-year-old man will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court tomorrow and the boy will appear at a children's court at a later date.
The charges follow an incident in Kurunjang on Friday, 20 December 2024 where a man was fatally injured.
Emergency services were called shortly after 7pm to reports of an alleged brawl between a group of people on McBurnie Drive.
An 18-year-old Kurunjang man was treated at the scene however passed away a short time later.
A 22-year-old Harkness man and a 15-year-old Harkness boy were both previously charged with murder in relation to the incident.
Police will allege the incident was targeted and the people involved were known to each other.
The investigation remains ongoing.
