Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a 57-year-old man following a serious assault that occurred in Two Rocks on Friday, 16 August 2024.
About 5.15pm, police were called to an address on Whitfield Drive upon report a man had been located with serious injuries in the drive way.
It will be alleged; the 57-year-old man was physically assaulted by a 33-year-old man known to him.
The 57-year-old man was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment of a serious head injury.
The 33-year-old Two Rocks man fled the area in a grey Mazda hatchback but was later located and arrested by police in Greenwood.
He was charged with Grievous Bodily Harm and appeared before the Perth Magistrates Court on 17 August 2024 where he was remanded in custody until his next court date on 28 October 2024.
On Tuesday, 20 August 2024, the 57-year-old man sadly died as the result of his injuries.
Homicide Squad detectives have taken carriage of the investigation and are seeking information from the public in relation to this incident, specifically:
• Anyone who may have seen the incident or was in the area of Whitfield Drive, Two Rocks around 5pm on Friday 16 August 2024
• Anyone who may have seen a grey Mazda hatchback between 5pm and 9pm on Friday 16 August 2024
