Two teenage boys have been charged following an alleged incident on the state's north coast.
About 5:15pm yesterday (Friday 19 April 2024) two teenage boys allegedly armed with a golf club and machete, attended a home on Boronia Crescent, Casino, and made a number of threats.
Officers attached to Richmond Police District attended including the dog unit and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A short time later, police attended a property on Laurel Avenue, Casino, and arrested two teenage boys, aged 15 and 17.
Both boys allegedly attempted to escape from police.
A large crowd gathered at the property, with further police attending and assisting to transport the two teenagers to Casino Police Station.
Both were charged with offences including use offensive weapon in company with intent indictable offence, affray, and hinder or resist police officer in the execution of duty.
Both appeared in a Childrens Court today (Saturday 20 July 2024) and were granted conditional bail to appear in a Childrens Court on Friday 16 August 2024.
