Two Teens Charged Over Bourke Break-Ins Spree: NSW Police

Two teens have been charged following an investigation into multiple alleged break-ins in the state's west.

About 12pm yesterday (Saturday 22 June 2024), police were called to Oxley Street, Bourke, following reports a caravan had been broken into.

Officers attached to Central North Police District attended and commenced an investigation.

About 1:45pm, police were called to a home on Wortumurtie Street, Bourke, following reports of a break in.

Officers attended and allegedly observed three teenage boys exiting the property.

Following a short foot pursuit, two males, aged 15 and 17 were arrested and taken to Bourke Police Station.

The 15-year-old was charged with Destroy or damage property, aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal

The 17-year-old was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal

Both were given conditional bail to appear before a Children's Court on Monday 15 July 2024.

About 2pm, police were called to a sports club in Central Park, following reports of a break in.

Five children, aged under 10, were spoken to by Police in relation to the incident.
