UC Davis Health won top honors – not once, but three times – in the prestigious Ragan PR Daily Awards for 2022. The national award celebrates excellence in marketing and communications.
- Winner in the category of Content Marketing Initiatives: UC Davis Health's Employee Open Enrollment 2022. This campaign aimed to educate all UC Davis employees on which health plans offered to them during open enrollment would provide access to the world-class care at UC Davis Health. - Winner in the category of Health Care Publication: UC Davis Health Magazine, Summer 2021 issue. This issue featured an overview of UC Davis Health's stellar work on COVID-19, as well as the internationally acclaimed separation of conjoined twins at UC Davis Children's Hospital. - Winner in the category of Online Newsroom or Media Center: UC Davis Health News website. UC Davis Health's digital communications and news teams identified the need to rebuild its online newsroom from the ground up. The result is a site with improved readability and user-friendliness. UC Davis Health's open enrollment website also earned an honorable mention in the category of Webcast.
The awards were presented at a special celebration November 2 at the Edison Ballroom in New York City. Michele Taber, director of brand management and marketing at UC Davis Health, was on hand to receive the awards on behalf of the Department of Public Affairs and Marketing.
Winners were chosen from a wide pool of entries submitted from across the nation. Winners in other categories include household names such as L'Oréal, 3M, Target, Nissan Motor, Hilton and Disney Parks, among others.
