We thank the Special Rapporteur for her recent report.
As the report highlights, climate change, humanitarian crises, conflict and instability continue to increase the risks of human trafficking. The UK is committed to working with international partners to reduce the risks of trafficking for those most vulnerable, particularly women and children, and to ensure that victims and survivors are provided with the support they need to begin rebuilding their lives.
Women and girls are disproportionately impacted by certain forms of exploitation. On International Women's Day this year, the UK published our International Women's and Girl's Strategy. We committed to ending violence against women and girls, and in line with that commitment, we will continue to work with partners internationally to address the gendered impacts of human trafficking.

Your report highlights that conflict-related displacement heightens the risk of trafficking. What further steps can the international community take to prevent risks of human trafficking in volatile regions?
