The UK's relationship with Japan was strengthened in May 2023 when Prime Ministers of both nations signed the Cyber Partnership agreement and the landmark Hiroshima Accord. The Hiroshima Accord is an ambitious global strategic partnership covering defence, trade, science and technology collaboration, and working together to tackle global issues like climate change.
