UN Women Board to Hold 2024 Session

The UN Women Executive Board will convene for its second regular session from 10 to 11 September 2024 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York (Conference Room 1).

The President of the Executive Board, the Ambassador of Panama to the United Nations, will open the Session on 10 September at 10 a.m. EDT, followed by UN Women's Executive Director who will deliver the opening remarks.

Over the two days, the Executive Board will receive briefing on the comprehensive review of the joint cost-recovery policy, the Joint Inspection Unit (JIU) review of governance and oversight of the Executive Boards, and on UN Women's operational activities in the Latin America and the Caribbean region. The Board will further consider the JIU report on the review of management and administration in UN Women, the report on structured dialogue on financing the results of the UN Women Strategic Plan 2022-2025, and the report on the UN Women Executive Board visit to programme sites in 2024.
