Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose W. Fernandez will travel to Panama from December 15-16 to attend a meeting of the Alliance for Development in Democracy (ADD). He will engage with trade ministers and senior officials, members of the ADD Business Council, and Inter-American Development Bank representatives to discuss economic cooperation and strengthening regional supply chains. In addition, Under Secretary Fernandez will meet with Panamanian government officials to discuss greater collaboration in the areas of semiconductors, logistics, and maritime operations. He will also meet with business leaders to promote U.S. investment and trade diversification in key areas, including medical devices and pharmaceuticals.
