Unknowingly Went Skydiving: QLD Man Bags $1M Lotto Win

A Queensland man's weekend skydive could have been a nerve-racking affair, had he known about his new millionaire status before leaping from the plane.

Unaware of his $1 million Weekday Windfall win, the Bethania resident experienced the thrill of the jump with no strings attached. He says "I don’t think I would’ve jumped out of the sky".

The Logan resident held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4445, drawn Friday 20 September and looks forward to a clean $1 million.

The winning man took a little longer to discover his newly minted millionaire status after checking his email and discovering an email from lottery officials urging him to contact them.

“Thank you so much. That’s amazing,” he gasped.

“That’s really such great news.

“I’ve only started to play Weekday Windfall. I’m very new to it, and I had an inkling that these numbers would come up in time and I just rolled with it.

“I’ve played the same numbers for multiple draws. These are my lucky numbers now!

“I didn’t even know about the win until I read the email from The Lott this morning and I had to check the ticket immediately.

“I went skydiving on the weekend, and If I had known that I had won on the weekend, I don’t think I would’ve jumped out of the sky! But don’t get me wrong, it feels like I’m still on a high.”

With $1 million unlocking the possibility of a new car, a luxurious holiday, or clearing bills, the Queenslander revealed he’s set on breaking into the property market and purchasing a home.

“We need a house. We went through a tough time, and we’ve been saving for a house ever since,” he revealed.

“This will help us go into the property market.

“Thank you so much for everything you have done.”
