Seven children have been charged after allegedly stealing a car and driving dangerously across Toowoomba yesterday.
Shortly after midday yesterday, police responded to reports and alleged stolen Mitsubishi Magna was being driven dangerously west along the Warrego Highway.
Officers successfully deployed a tyre deflation device near Withcott and the car was intercepted by police prior to the Toowoomba Range.
Investigations suggest the car was stolen from a Gostwyck Street, Newtown address around 3am yesterday morning.
Three girls, aged 14, 15 and 17, were charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and several other property related offences.
Four boys, aged between 13 and 15, were additionally charged with stealing the car.
Two of these boys, a 13-year-old and 14-year-old, were denied police bail and are due to appear in Toowoomba Childrens Court.
The remaining four were dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
