Unlawful Use Of Motor Vehicle Charges, Burleigh Heads

Police have charged four teenagers with multiple offences after they allegedly crashed a stolen vehicle at Burleigh Heads yesterday, June 13.

It will be alleged the four males, aged 15 and 16, were in the stolen BMW at the time, when the two-vehicle crash occurred around 4pm on the Gold Coast Highway.

The woman in the other vehicle, a Mazda hatchback, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrived shortly afterwards, and four juveniles were taken into custody.

The BMW had been stolen from an address at Benowa earlier that same day, around 12pm.

Two boys aged 15 and 16 were charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle. The 16-year-old boy faces a further three counts of stealing.

Both boys are expected to appear before Southport Childrens Court today, June 14.

A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy have both been charged with two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle with the 15-year-old boy facing a further charge of driving without a licence.

Both boys are expected to appear before Southport Childrens Court on June 19.
