Unlawful Wounding Charges At St George

Police have charged a 19-year-old Yarrabilba man following alleged wounding incidents in St George on Saturday morning, July 13.

It will be alleged at approximately midnight, an altercation occurred on Henry Street, resulting in a 24-year-old St George man sustaining stab wounds.

It will be further alleged, several people went to assist the victim, resulting in a 18-year-old St George man and a 35-year-old St George woman also sustaining stab wounds.

A short time later Police arrived at the scene and took the 19-year-old Yarrabilba man into custody.

He was charged with two counts of wounding in a public place while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance and one count of act to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in Toowoomba Magistrates Court tomorrow, July 16.

Two victims were released from hospital with minor injuries, and one victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.
