Unlawful Wounding Charges, Labrador

Police have charged two men following an unlawful wounding in Labrador last night, July 18.

Initial information indicates around 8:45pm, emergency services were called to a Middle Street residence following reports of a stabbing.

It will be alleged at approximately 8.40pm, three men have become involved in a verbal altercation at a Middle Street property which has escalated to a physical altercation on the street.

During the altercation, a 31-year-old Nerang man sustained a significant stab wound to his neck and a laceration to his left forearm and ring finger.

He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

A 56-year-old Southport man and a 20-year-old Labrador man were arrested at the scene and have been charged with unlawful wounding (domestic violence offence).

Both are due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
