Unlawful Wounding Charges, South Brisbane

Police have charged a man following an unlawful wounding in South Brisbane yesterday, October 30.

It will be alleged around 11.20am an altercation occurred between two men who were known to each other.

A 52-year-old Mount Gravatt East man sustained wounds to his face allegedly from a broken glass bottle and was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

Police investigations led to the arrest of a man in South Brisbane around 2.50pm yesterday, October 30.

A 59-year-old South Brisbane man has been charged with one count each of common assault and grievous bodily harm.

He is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court October today, October 31.
