Swan Hill Rural City Council has partnered with Grant Guru to launch a grant finder platform. This user friendly tool makes it easier for local community groups, businesses, not-for-profit organisations and individuals to discover funding opportunities.

The Swan Hill Rural City Council Grant Hub is available free of charge, and community groups and clubs are encouraged to explore the platform's offerings. In addition to providing information on funding opportunities, the platform provides comprehensive grant application support, including step-by-step guides, expert tips and handy hints.

Council's Director of Development and Planning, Michelle Grainger, said "This innovative platform will transform how community members discover funding opportunities and access valuable information about grant funding."

"Instead of spending hours searching across multiple websites, which can often be tedious, users can access funding opportunities all in one place. They also have the option to receive notifications when a new opportunity that matches their preferences becomes available," added Ms Grainger.

Ms Grainger spoke of the success of a recent grant writing workshop led by industry expert, Keith Whelan also known as the Grant Guy, at SuniTAFE Swan Hill. Mr Whelan highlighted Council's Grant Hub being a useful tool for the community in finding and obtaining funding. The workshop drew 45 participants both in person and online, demonstrating the commitment of the local community to enhance facilities and provide more opportunities.

"The strong turnout at this workshop, made possible by the Community Recovery Hub initiative, validates our community's proactive and passionate approach to seeking funding." Ms Grainger added, "Council's Grant Hub builds on this momentum by providing year-round support and resources."
