Up to 400,000 people took part in labor reform protests across France on Thursday, national trade union General Confederation of Labour said in a statement.
The statement added that six of eight oil refineries in France were on strike.
"Thursday, May 19, nearly 400,000 people have joined the protests against the labor law, almost double [the number] of last Tuesday," the statement said.
The labor bill has given rise to multiple protests across the country in the past months.
