Detectives have charged a third man in relation to the murder of 23-year-old Levi Johnson at Mansfield on Monday (September 12).
Operation Uniform Challenger was established after 23-year-old Levi Johnson was allegedly attacked by four men in a car park on Pine Mountain Road just before 1pm.
Acting on information from the public, police at approximately 5.30pm yesterday (September 16) attended Skinner Avenue at Wellington Point.
POLAIR tracked a vehicle from the address to a location in Chandler, where it is alleged two people buried a number of firearms before driving the vehicle back to the Wellington Point residence.
Just before 8pm, detectives, with the assistance of specialist police and the dog squad, surrounded the property, where a 35-year-old Birkdale man and a 31-year-old Birkdale woman were taken into custody without incident.
Both residences at Wellington Point and Chandler were searched, and a number of firearms were seized.
The 35-year-old man has been charged with one count of murder (serious organised crime).
He is expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court this morning (September 17).
Police continue to appeal to 24-year-old Kyle Martin to contact them and hand himself in.
An arrest warrant for murder has been issued for Kyle Martin and members of the public who may sight him are urged to not approach him and to immediately call Triple Zero (000).
