Detectives have charged a third man with murder in relation to the disappearance of missing man Lachlan James Griffiths.
The 28-year-old Stafford man was arrested following a police search at a Waroon Street address yesterday. The man will appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court this morning.
Taskforce Voltron was initiated following investigations associated with a crime scene warrant taken out on a business on Musgrave Road, Coopers Plains where the human remains of Andrew Christopher Walsh were located.
The joint investigation between Homicide Investigation Unit and Indooroopilly and Logan Criminal Investigation Branch has linked this business to the suspicious disappearance of two men.
Detectives have previously charged a 40-year-old Tingalpa man and a 40-year-old Carrara man with murder in relation to the disappearance of missing man Lachlan James Griffiths.
Lachlan James Griffiths, 35, was reported missing on 26 January 2022. He was last known to be residing in different hotels in the Brisbane area.
The current whereabouts of Lachlan James Griffiths remains unknown.
To date, three people have been charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder and Misconduct with a Corpse in relation to Walsh's death. Investigations are continuing.
Andrew Christopher Walsh was reported missing by family in January this year, however investigations have established the 35-year-old was last seen alive at Slacks Creek on November 7, 2021.
Detectives will continue to interview witnesses and progress investigative strategies including the review of CCTV footage and telephone data.
Detectives are continuing their appeal for information from anyone in the community who may have information into the disappearances of both men to assist in these investigations.
