Major Crash are investigating a fatality today at Kingsford.
Just after 1pm on Sunday 28 October, patrols were called to the intersection of Argent Road and the Thiele Highway after a Holden sedan and a Nissan SUV crashed.
The driver of the Holden, a 17-year-old girl from Nuriootpa sadly died at the scene. Her passenger, a 16-year-old girl, also from Nuriootpa, was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan SUV, a 25-year-old woman from Freeling was taken by ambulance to the Lyell McEwin Hospital with minor injuries.
The Thiele Highway remains closed between Roseworthy Road, Sturt Highway and Horricks Highway - diversions are in place.
The girl's death takes the State's road toll to 60 as compared to 79 for this time last year.
