Detectives from the Carseldine Criminal Investigation Branch, assisted by Homicide detectives, have established Operation Victor Falmouth, investigating the suspicious disappearance of a 54-year-old Fitzgibbon man reported missing earlier this month.
Brett Orme (pictured) was last seen at an Odense Street, Fitzgibbon address on August 11 before leaving in a white 2012 Nissan Navara with Queensland registration 354WAN.
He contacted family on Sunday, August 13, and investigations have revealed that he was at Iron Bark Gully, Samford, at 12:40pm on that same day but has not been seen or heard from since.
The white Nissan Navara was located by police last Friday, August 19, at the Tinchi Tamba wetlands, Bald Hills, and the vehicle has since been seized by investigators.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen Brett or the white Nissan Navara with Queensland registration 354WAN between August 11 and August 19 in the Greater Brisbane area to come forward.
Brett is described as Caucasian, approximately 180 centimetres tall, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be wearing a high-visibility trade polo shirt.
Investigations are ongoing.
