UPDATE: Five charged following investigations into stabbing in Guildford

Three men and two boys have been charged after police executed search warrants at five homes this morning following the stabbing of a teenager in Guildford at the weekend.

Just before 7.50pm (20 August 2016), emergency services responded to reports of a brawl at a unit block on Guildford Road, Guildford.

On arrival, officers located a 16-year-old boy with a head laceration and a stab wound to his stomach.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition, where he has since undergone surgery and remains in a serious but stable condition.

Officers from Holroyd Local Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

About 6.30am today, following investigations, officers executed simultaneous search warrants at five homes in west and south-west Sydney, arresting three men and two teenage boys;

- At a home on Arrowroot Street, The Ponds, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy.

- At a home on Hyatts Road, Plumpton, officers arrested a 20-year-old man.

- At a home on Aylsford Street, Stanhope Gardens, officers arrested an 18-year-old man.

- At a home on Greenhills Drive, Rouse Hill, officers arrested an 18-year-old man, and

- At a home on Blue Wren Place, Kellyville, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy.

During the search warrants, officers allegedly found various weapons and other items, including a firearm at the Kellyville home.

All items were seized and will undergo forensic examinations.

The three men and two boys were taken to local police stations. All five were charged with malicious wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, riot, possess offensive implement with intent to commit serious indictable offence.

The 17-year-old Kellyville boy was additionally charged with attempted murder, possess prohibited weapon, possess prohibited firearm, possess ammunition, and other firearm offences.

All five were refused bail and are due to face court today (31 August 2016).

The two 17-year-old boys are due to face Children’s Court, the 20-year-old man is due to face Penrith Local Court, the 18-year-old Stanhope Gardens man is due to face Blacktown Local Court, and the 18-year-old Rouse Hill man is due to face Parramatta Local Court.
