As stated by Detective Senior Sergeant Warwick McKee:
Police can now confirm a homicide investigation has been launched following the death of a woman on Lemnos Avenue, Karori, Wellington.
Police were called to an address on Lemnos Avenue at around 1.10pm on Friday April 5.
On arrival a 52-year-old woman was found dead at the property.
Police have arrested a 30-year-old man who has been charged with murder.
He is due to appear in the Wellington District Court tomorrow morning. Further charges are likely.
