Update on fatal collision near Leeton, NSW

Two people have died following a crash between two trucks and a car near Leeton today, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to intersection of Mount Harris Road and Irrigation Way, Stanbridge, around 2.20pm today following reports of a crash.

Police have been told that two trucks and a Holden Commodore were involved in a crash at the intersection.

Both of the trucks caught fire and which spread to near-by grass. The Rural Fire Service attended and contained the blaze.

Both of the truck drivers, a 29-year-old man and a 53-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Holden Commodore, a 43-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries and was conveyed to Griffith Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Griffith Local Area Command attended and have commenced an investigation into the incident.

A crime scene was established at the intersection of Irrigation Way and Mount Harris Way.

A brief will be prepared for the information of the coroner.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
