Updated Arrivals Associated Direction 31 December, South Australia

The Emergency Management (Arrivals Associated No 12) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Arrivals Associated No 13) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This Direction came into effect at 12:00pm on 31 December 2021.

Key changes include:

ENTRYCHECK SA

EntryCheck SA will shut down on 1 January 2022. The use of EntryCheck SA to apply to travel to South Australia will no longer be required.

INTERSTATE TRAVELLERS

There are no longer any entry requirements for all interstate travellers into South Australia (this includes Essential Travellers and Cross Border Community Members).

INTERNATIONAL TRAVELLERS

Vaccinated international travellers to South Australia can enter under the following conditions:

  • Produce a negative COVID-19 test result 72 hours prior to departure to South Australia
  • COVID-19 test within 24 hours of arrival in South Australia and quarantine until this test is taken
  • No entry to High Risk Settings for 7 days after arrival to South Australia
  • Daily symptom check for 14 days after arrival using HealthCheck SA

Unvaccinated international travellers to South Australia have the following entry conditions:

  • Produce a negative COVID-19 test result 72 hours prior to departure to South Australia
  • Quarantine as directed for 14 days after arrival to South Australia

    (Note: If a person arrives on an international flight to any other Australian state or territory and stays there for 3 days, they will only be required to complete 11 days of quarantine in South Australia)

  • COVID-19 test within 24 hours of arrival in South Australia
  • COVID-19 test again on days 6 and 13
  • Daily symptom check for 14 days after arrival using HealthCheck SA
