The Cross Border-Associated Direction has been updated in South Australia.
The Cross Border-Associated Direction No 12 came into effect at 8.25pm Monday 24 May 2021.
The changes apply to those people who have been in particular Victorian locations:
Designated Exposure Sites- Victorian Restricted Zone A Arrivals
- A Victorian Restricted Zone A Arrival is a person who has been at a Tier 1 and Tier 2 Victorian Public Exposure Site at the at the specified date and time on the Government of Victoria website: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/exposure-sites.
- These people (including Essential Travellers, people genuinely relocating and SA residents) who are in South Australia prior to 8.25pm Monday 24 May 2021 are subject to Level 4 requirements.
- IMPORTANT- This only applies to Tier 1 and Tier 2 sites (not Tier 3) as specified on the Government of Victoria website.
- Level 4 requirements are:
- Must reside and remained quarantined and segregated from other people at a suitable place for 14 days.
- The person must submit to a COVID-19 test within 24hrs after arrival in South Australia and on days 5 and 13.
- Must wear a face mask which covers their mouth and nose at any time that the person comes in contact with the public for 14 days after their arrival into South Australia.
- Level 4 requirements are:
- After 8.25pm Monday 24 May 2021 all people (including Essential Travellers, people genuinely relocating and SA residents) who have been at a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Public Exposure Site at the specified date and time on the Government of Victoria website above are subject to Level 6 restrictions and are not permitted to enter South Australia. The majority of these people should already be in 14 days quarantine in Victoria and are not permitted to leave quarantine to travel to South Australia.
- Exemptions apply for people who are escaping domestic violence, but these travellers are still subject to the Level 5 requirements.
- Additional travel exemptions may also be granted with restrictions as determined by SA Health.
City of Whittlesea- Victorian Restricted Zone B Arrivals
- A Victorian Restricted Zone B Arrival is a person who has been in the City of Whittlesea any time since 6 May 2021 and has not been in a restricted zone A designated exposure site at the relevant time.
- These people (including Essential Travellers, people genuinely relocating and SA residents) who have been in the City of Whittlesea in Victoria on or after 6 May 2021 who are in South Australia prior to 8.25pm Monday 24 May 2021 are required to receive a COVID-19 test within 24hrs and self-quarantine until they receive a negative test result.
- People who enter South Australia after 8.25pm Monday 24 2021 having been in the City of Whittlesea are subject to Level 2 requirements.
- Level 2 requirements are:
- The person must submit to a COVID-19 test within 24hrs after arrival in South Australia and on days 5 and 13. They must self-quarantine until they receive the first negative test.
- The person must not enter a high risk setting for 14 days after their arrival in South Australia.
- Level 2 requirements are:
* Note- City of Whittlesea includes Beveridge, Donnybrook, Doreen, Eden Park, Epping, Humevale, Kinglake West, Lalor, Mernda, Mill Park, South Morang, Thomaston, Whittlesea, Wollert, Woodstock and Yan Yean.
Overseas arrivals are still required to comply with the following restrictions:
- Overseas arrivals-(except New Zealand arrivals) must continue to comply with level 5 requirements.
This Direction should be read in conjunction with the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel-General)(COVID-19) Direction 2021.
The Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel – Associated Direction No 11)COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel – Associated Direction No 12)(COVID-19) Direction 2021.
