The Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel Associated No 59) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel Associated No 60) (COVID-19) Direction 2021. This Direction came into effect at 5pm on Monday, 25 October 2021.
Key changes include:
The New South Wales Cross Border Corridor now includes the township of Silverton.
This means if a NSW Resident Cross Border Community Member (including those from Silverton) has not left the Cross Border Corridor on the NSW side or associated with a person from a restricted zone outside the NSW Cross Border Corridor within the previous 14 days, they are permitted to travel anywhere within SA without restriction.
However, South Australian residents can only travel into NSW Cross Border Corridor and return without restrictions if they are approved Cross Border Community Members. Non-Cross Border Community Members who are South Australian residents and enter any part of NSW (including Broken Hill etc) will need to apply for a Health Exemption to return to the state.
They must produce evidence of having received at least 1 dose of a TGA-approved COVID-19 vaccine.
Other existing requirements remain.
