The Public Activities COVID-19 Direction and Cross Border-Associated Direction No 2 have been updated in South Australia
Public Activities Direction No 21
The Public Activities No 21 Direction comes into effect at 12.01am on Wednesday 31 March 2021.
The changes are:
- Density provisions
- at a place, or a place where a defined public activity is held, must not exceed 3 person per 4 square metres;
- at a cinema, a live theatre or performance venue where there is fixed seating
- Patrons must wear masks if more than 75% of seats are occupied.
- At a place of worship
- Where the worshippers are in fixed seating, worshippers must must wear masks if more than 75% of seats are occupied
- Where the worshippers are not in fixed seating, worshippers must wear masks if the total number of persons present at the place exceeds 3 persons per 4 square metres.
- Operation of shisha, smoking or vaping is now permitted (whether indoor or outdoor) if;
- No reusable equipment associated with shisha, smoking or vaping is permitted.
- Patrons must be provided a disposable mouthpiece and hose to be only used once by one person.
- More than one person may not share the same shisha pot during a session
- A shisha pot cannot be re-used until it is thoroughly sanitised inside and out
- Dancing at a Night Club or relevant licensed premises :
- Dancing is permitted at a Night Club or relevant licensed premises without a COVID Management Plan provided that:
- The total number of patrons present is fewer than 1000; and
- The density requirements of 3 people per 4 square metres are adhered to at the premises; and
- The density requirements of 3 people per 4 square metres are adhered to on the dancefloor (it is to be treated as if it is a separate place)
Cross Border-Associated Direction No 2
The Cross Border-Associated Direction No 2 comes into effect at 7.55 pm on Tuesday 30 March 2021
The changes are
- The area in the State of New South Wales comprised of the Byron Shire Council will become a restricted zone.
- All travellers who have been in the New South Wales restricted zone on or after 26 March 2021 will be subject to Level 3 requirements.
- Level 3 requirements are:
- Must have a COVID-19 test on days 1,5 &13
- Must quarantine until they receive a negative COVID-19 test result after the day 1 test
- Must not enter a high risk setting for a period of 14 days after arrival in SA, unless they are permitted to enter pursuant to clause 9 of the Direction
- No entry to COVID Management Plan event in SA where more than 1000 people are present for 14 days after arrival in SA.
The Emergency Management (Public Activities No 20) (COVID-19) Direction 2021 has been revoked and replaced by the Emergency Management (Public Activities No 21) (COVID-19) Direction 2021.
