The City will be upgrading Ghazeepore Road, Waurn Ponds to enhance pedestrian and vehicle safety.
We have been listening to the community's feedback and concerns about traffic flow and pedestrian safety along Ghazeepore Road, Waurn Ponds in recent years and have been busy planning works to address community concerns.
Works are currently estimated to begin in June 2025 and will improve traffic flow, turning movements and pedestrian safety when accessing bus stops.
The upgrades will include indented parking bays, pedestrian crossing points, intersection upgrades and bus stop enhancements.
A roundabout at Ghazeepore Road and Monterey Drive will be funded with a $313,000 grant through the Victorian Government's Safe Local Roads and Streets program. Hams Road estate developers have also contributed considerably to support these important road safety upgrades with remaining costs to be funded through the City's core capital program.
