A Matt Guy Liberals and Nationals Government will invest $3.5 million towards major upgrades at Upper Beaconsfield Cricket Club.
The distinct lack of sport infrastructure currently in the area is exacerbated by significant population growth in Upper Beaconsfield, as well as ongoing estate development in neighbouring Berwick, Officer and Pakenham.
The current facilities at the Upper Beaconsfield Cricket Club are ageing and are in desperate need of an upgrade to bring them up to standard.
Liberal Member for Gembrook, Brad Battin, said investment in the area's community infrastructure is desperately needed.
"With the growing strain on the region's sporting facilities, now is the time to develop them and bring them up to standard for people to use and enjoy for years to come."
"Only the Liberals and Nationals will sensibly plan for the region's future and deliver these necessary investments."
