UQ 'fast Mover' For Research Impact

The University of Queensland has been recognised as one of Australia's leading research institutions with the fastest growing influence in The Australian's 2025 Research Magazine .

19 UQ researchers were named leaders of their field, and the University was recognised as the top research institution across Australia in 27 fields, and around the world in 2.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry AC said the annual publication recognised and celebrated the valuable contribution Australian researchers make.

"This list provides a comprehensive picture of Australian research capability and highlights the impact of our researchers who are helping to solve complex global challenges," Professor Terry said.

"Our investment in cutting-edge research infrastructure and strong focus on industry and government collaboration enables our researchers to undertake quality high-impact research, and this is reflected by UQ's 'fast mover' status this year."
