UQ leads nation in Highly Cited Researcher awards

The University of Queensland has received the highest number of Highly Cited Researcher (HCR) awards in Australia for the third year in a row.

UQ received 40 of the prestigious awards in the 2023 Clarivate HCR list, in equal place with the University of Melbourne.

Globally, the University was the 25th most awarded institution.

The awards recognise the exceptional performance of UQ researchers who have a significant number of papers in the top 1% most cited in their field and year of publication.

Eight UQ researchers made the list for the first time this year.
