UQ Researcher Wins Grant for Cancer Treatment Study

University of Queensland (UQ) researcher Dr Debottam Sinha has received $450,000 from the Passe & Williams Foundation to improve health outcomes for patients with a rare form of cancer.

The 3-year study aims to develop a new treatment strategy for adenoid cystic carcinoma (AdCC), a cancer in the salivary gland that can resist conventional therapies including radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery.

Dr Sinha will lead the research alongside Professor Chris Perry and Professor Fiona Simpson .
