Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was remains in a critical condition following a crash in the Southern Highlands yesterday.
About 10am (Monday 11 December 2023), emergency services responded to the Old Hume Highway, Mittagong, after reports a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
Bystanders performed CPR on the 64-year-old man where he regained consciousness before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.
He was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition; however, his condition has since deteriorated, and he is now listed as critical.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris – a 65-year-old man – was uninjured.
Officers from The Hume Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
